Electric vehicle charge point grant for renters and flat owners

Workplace Charging Scheme

Electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular. This is only likely to accelerate following the UK government’s recent confirmation that it will be banning the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030. You can currently apply for a grant through the Workplace Charging Scheme,  which is voucher-based scheme that provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV). As an Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) approved installer, EEM has been approved to carry out these works for you, allowing you to participate in the scheme.  The grant covers up to 75% of the total costs of the purchase and installation of EV chargepoints (inclusive of VAT), capped at a maximum of:

  • £350 per socket
  • 40 sockets across all sites per applicant – for instance, if you would like to install them in 40 sites, you will have 1 socket available per site

When working with EEM to install your EV charger, our engineers will complete a free survey of your property to establish the best option for you. From here, the team will arrange a time and day to install your EV charger, minimising disturbance and maximising efficiency.

Customer Feedback

Super impressed with the professionalism of Essex Electrical Maintenance. Great communication from the office but above all the electricians who visited were extremely polite, professional with great customer care. Highly recommend.
